Matt is the Head of Marketing and a founding team member of Leesa Sleep, the online luxury mattress brand with a purpose-driven mission.
Matt helped build the Leesa brand from the ground-up and led the startup’s innovative digital marketing launch strategy, propelling Leesa from $0 to $30 million in its first year. Now in just its fourth year of business, Leesa has donated nearly 25,000 mattresses to homeless shelters, won Shopify’s Build a Business competition, been cited as one of Forbes’ Next Billion Dollar Brands and was listed as the Fastest Growing e-Retailer in 2015 by Internet Retailer.
Matt’s expertise is in building, launching and growing disruptive, digitally-native brands. His focus is on digital & influencer marketing, branding, online storytelling, and conversion rate optimization. He loves working with young companies to help define a growth strategy, develop their unique voice and value proposition, work towards product-market fit and find and build a world-class team.
Before Leesa, Matt was the EVP of Digital Services and Ventures at BrandJourney, an innovation agency that helps big companies innovate and bring new ideas to life. He has helped build brands and services from the ground up for General Mills, Nestle Purina, Shell, VF Corporation and Procter & Gamble. Matt holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business.
